Carry — Family Budget

Terms and Conditions

Carry is a personal and family budgeting tool. It organizes information you enter; it is not a bank, payment service, accounting system, or source of professional advice.

Last updated: 3 September 2026

1. Agreement and store terms

By using Carry, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you download Carry from an app store, that store’s applicable terms also apply. On Apple platforms, Apple’s standard end-user licence terms apply except where a valid custom agreement replaces them.

If you do not agree, do not use the service or create a cloud account.

2. What Carry provides

Carry provides local category budgeting, expense and income records, financial planning, history, import/export and optional account-backed shared access. Features may differ by platform, language, country or release stage.

The public mobile release is still being prepared. Pre-release builds may change, contain defects, or stop being available.

3. Accounts and eligibility

  • You may use local features without an account. Cloud features require a supported account and an internet connection.
  • You must meet the minimum age to enter a binding agreement in your country or use Carry with a parent or guardian’s permission.
  • Keep access to your email and sign-in providers secure. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you promptly report unauthorized use.
  • Provide accurate information and do not impersonate another person.

4. Your budget data and shared spaces

You retain your rights in the information you enter. You give Carry the limited permission needed to host, process, sync, display and export cloud-backed data for you and authorized members.

A space owner controls membership and roles. Members must use shared information only for the purpose for which access was granted. Carry is not responsible for a member’s decision to copy, export or disclose information they were allowed to view.

Keep independent copies of information you are legally or financially required to retain. Carry should not be your only archival record.

5. Acceptable use

  • Do not use Carry to break the law, infringe rights, harass another person, or store malicious content.
  • Do not attempt to bypass access controls, probe other accounts, disrupt the service, automate abusive traffic, or reverse engineer protected service components except where law expressly permits it.
  • Do not upload secrets or regulated information that Carry does not ask for, including passwords, full payment-card details, or government authentication credentials.

6. Paid features

Carry Cloud is available as a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription. The purchase screen shows the subscription period, included cloud synchronization and shared-space features, and the full localized renewal price before confirmation. Local budgeting and import/export remain available without Carry Cloud; personal backup, when available on the platform, is also separate from the subscription.

Payment is charged by the applicable App Store or Google Play account after confirmation. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it in that store; cancellation stops future renewal but access continues while the store reports the entitlement active. Carry provides Restore purchases and a link to manage the subscription. Deleting the Carry account does not cancel store billing.

7. No professional advice

Carry does not provide banking, payment, accounting, tax, investment, legal or financial advice. Calculations and exchange rates may be delayed, rounded, incomplete or affected by data you entered. Verify important decisions and records independently with a qualified professional where appropriate.

8. Availability and third-party services

We may maintain, change, suspend or discontinue features. Cloud functions depend on network access and third-party providers such as authentication, hosting, email and app-store services. We do not control their availability or separate terms.

We aim to preserve data responsibly, but no online service is uninterrupted or loss-proof. Use Carry’s export tools and device backups in a way that matches the importance of your records.

9. Disclaimer and liability

To the extent permitted by law, Carry is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for a particular financial result. We are not responsible for decisions made from user-entered data, lost opportunities, or indirect or consequential losses.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer rights. Any limit is applied only to the maximum extent allowed in your jurisdiction.

10. Suspension, leaving and deletion

You may stop using local features, leave eligible shared spaces, or request account deletion. We may restrict cloud access where reasonably necessary to secure the service, prevent abuse, comply with law, or address a serious breach of these terms.

Account deletion is subject to the ownership-transfer rule described on the Delete account page. Local spaces are not automatically deleted with a cloud account.

11. Changes, disputes and contact

We may update these terms as the product or law changes. Continued use after an effective update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law. Mandatory consumer protections in your country continue to apply. Before starting a formal dispute, contact support@carrybudget.com so we can try to resolve the issue.
